Senior Data Engineer

Join our dynamic team at Axpo, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Databricks Data Platform. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will shape our data landscape, ensuring quality and innovation in our data products. Your expertise will help us serve over 200,000 customers in the energy sector.

What you will do:
  • Develop data products within a centralized platform for diverse customers.
  • Create ETL and ELT workflows in Databricks, including DLT Pipelines.
  • Manage event-driven data processing and high-resolution timeseries data.
  • Establish a Data Mesh for efficient data product management.
  • Oversee cloud resources for data orchestration and transformation.
  • Collaborate in agile setups to enhance data solutions.
What you bring / who you are:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience in implementing data solutions, especially with timeseries data.
  • Proficient in Python (pyspark, pandas) and SQL, with knowledge of Databricks.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, APIs, and Terraform for resource management.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI and concepts like Data Mesh.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
