Perficient is seeking a seasoned Data/BI Engineer to design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and semantic data models for analytics.

You will develop Power BI dashboards, collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data insights, and ensure data quality, governance, and performance.

Formación

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, performance tuning).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Experience with data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
• Experience with Python or similar languages for data processing is a plus.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS ).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for analytics.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, or cloud-native tools.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring high performance, usability, and scalability.
• Design and implement semantic data models (star schema, relationships, measures, DAX calculations).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data models and visual insights.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting layers.
• Optimize datasets and dashboards for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement best practices in data modeling, version control, and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver actionable insights.
• Support the evolution of modern data platforms and analytics capabilities.
