We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Data Engineer to join our engineering team, with a primary focus on building Delta Lakehouse solutions within Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.

Senior data engineers at Thoughtworks are engineers who build, maintain, and test the software architecture and infrastructure for managing data applications. They are involved in developing core capabilities, which include technical and functional data platforms.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics for Cintra (Spain-based), delivering data initiatives following the best practices of Data Engineering and different platforms and tools.
• Using technical expertise to develop, maintain, and test data applications.
• Aligning with senior stakeholders and leadership to define the data strategy.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Professional experience with public cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, and strong proficiency in Python and other relevant technologies.
