SAMY is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. You will develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models to enable strategic decision-making while ensuring data quality, availability, and performance.

You will collaborate with Analytics, BI, and Engineering teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions, optimize data architecture, and improve operational efficiency across large datasets

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and GCP data services.
• Advanced SQL skills including complex transformations and optimization.
• Experience developing Python scripts for API integrations and data ingestion.
• Solid experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like Fivetran, Supermetrics, or equivalents.

Role Mission

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that enable business decision-making. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models while ensuring data quality, availability, and performance within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.

• Design and maintain Data Warehouse models.

• Develop Python scripts to ingest data from APIs.

• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes.

• Manage and optimize large datasets using Google BigQuery.

• Integrate multiple data sources using tools such as Fivetran, Supermetrics, or similar platforms.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across data pipelines.

• Collaborate with Analytics, BI, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

• Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, performance, and operational efficiency.

Skills & experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery.

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations and query optimization.

• Experience developing Python scripts for API integrations and data ingestion.

• Solid experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Experience with data integration tools such as Fivetran, Supermetrics, or similar.

• General knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, particularly data storage and processing services.

• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.

• Experience with dimensional data modeling, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact tables, and dimension tables
