Global Technology Services, Medellín-based, seeks a Data Engineering Architect to lead scalable data platforms and engineering solutions. You will drive data architecture strategies, set engineering standards, and guide teams across Colombia, LATAM, and international stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines architectural depth with hands-on Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL experience, focusing on lakehouse models, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level experience in Data Engineering with 2+ in Data Architecture.
• Experience designing and leading the architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms and data pipelines.
• Experience with architectural patterns for data ingestion, transformation, processing, storage, and consumption.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Strong SQL development and optimization skills.
• Strong experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, and data quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data processing workloads.

Responsibilities
