Job summary

SoftwareOne Bogotá is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and evolve scalable data architectures for diverse client environments. You will lead high-impact architectural decisions, translate complex needs into scalable solutions, and elevate technical standards across the practice.

You will drive design for Azure, Fabric, AWS, and Databricks, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with executives to align technology with business goals. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Solid experience defining end-to-end enterprise data architectures.
• Strong expertise in Azure and Fabric architectures (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory).
• Experience with multi-cloud solutions (AWS and Databricks).
• Certification such as DP-600, DEA-C01, PL-300 is valued.

Senior Data Architect

Are you passionate about turning business needs into modern, scalable data architectures?

You’ll be part of the Data and Artificial Intelligence team, designing and evolving data solutions for diverse client and business environments. In this role, you’ll lead high-impact architecture decisions, translate complex needs into scalable solutions, and help strengthen the practice’s technical standards and capabilities. What you’ll do:

• Define and evolve scalable data, governance, and AI architectures, establishing reusable standards and patterns.
• Lead solution design for strategic opportunities, aligning architecture with client needs and business objectives.
• Drive architectural decisions across Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, and Databricks, balancing scalability, cost, risk, and business value.
• Act as a technical advisor, communicating recommendations to stakeholders and strengthening team capabilities through mentoring and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Solid experience defining and designing end-to-end enterprise data architectures, from understanding business needs to presenting and defending solutions to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric architectures, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Power BI, SQL, and PySpark/Spark, as well as the ability to design solutions using AWS Data Services and Databricks in multicloud environments.
• Advanced knowledge of data architecture and data governance, including Microsoft Purview, data catalogs, lineage, classification, and DAMA-DMBOK principles.
• Experience designing Generative AI solutions and modern data architectures, including RAG, embeddings, and vector databases, with the ability to formally document architecture decisions and standards.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to provide technical leadership, communicate complex concepts, influence decision-making, and collaborate effectively with technical, business, and executive stakeholders. Certifications such as DP-600, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate (DEA-C01), PL-300, AI-900, or AWS Certified AI Practitioner are highly valued.
