Job summary

JPMorganChase in Bogota, Colombia, seeks an Executive Director in Risk Management and Compliance to lead the second line of defense for Credit Risk across Latin America. You will provide independent oversight of new and existing exposures, ensure decisions align with risk appetite, and escalate matters through governance forums.

You will oversee an existing portfolio, drive disciplined monitoring, and develop talent while partnering with Coverage, Product, Legal, and control functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
• 8+ years of wholesale credit risk or related banking experience.
• Strong credit and analytical skills across qualitative assessment and corporate finance.
• Knowledge of loans, derivatives, trade finance, and capital markets instruments.
• Experience evaluating credit decisions in a second line of defense role.
• Leads second line of defense engagement on credit documentation and covenants.
• Strong stakeholder management in fast-paced environments with multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound control mindset and governance adherence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage credit risk in complex transactions with elevated approval authority.
• Provide independent second line of defense challenge on new transactions and amendments.
• Oversee portfolio monitoring, risk ratings, covenants, and watchlist processes.
• Identify key risk considerations and surfacing market trends for governance forums.
• Ensure governance and controls across credit analysis, approval, and monitoring.
• Partner with Coverage, Product, Legal, and control functions for timely outcomes.
• Build relationships with Wholesale Credit Risk and senior stakeholders.
• Lead strategic initiatives aligned with functional priorities.
• Leverage data analytics and technology to strengthen underwriting and monitoring.
• Adopt AI-enabled productivity tools responsibly to improve quality and efficiency.
• Develop individuals through coaching, mentoring, and training.
