Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior BIM Designer to join our Water-Wastewater group. You will build 3D models of utilities and prepare contract drawings from survey to tender, using Civil 3D and MicroStation.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of CAD experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and municipal CAD practices. The role emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers and designers in a professional, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering related field.
• 10+ years using Civil 3D and MicroStation, including InRoads for water mains and sewers.
• Knowledge of municipal engineering concepts; GIS, Navisworks, Revit and ISO 19650.
• Experience with MS Office, Autodesk Forma and Bluebeam Studio.
• Experience with Dynamo and Open Roads Designer is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects involving 2D/3D drafting civil engineering drawings and model creation using Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Prepare plan and profile drawings, sections and standard details.
• Coordinate with designers and Project Managers.
• Interpret design markups and as-builts.
• Produce 3D models of wet and dry utilities using pressure and gravity networks.
• Follow design guidelines and CAD standards for multiple municipalities.
