FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and work on Laravel backends and Go microservices for client projects. You will contribute to designing scalable architectures, build robust APIs, and collaborate with designers and engineers in a remote setting.

We value strong ownership, a can-do attitude, and experience delivering large, complex systems. This role supports Pacific Time hours and offers full-time remote work with growth opportunities.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Advanced English required.
• Four-year college degree required.
• Experience with Laravel and PHP backends.
• Experience rewriting monolithic backends into Go microservices.
• Ability to scale backend infrastructure for high traffic launches.
• On-call rotation duties with 15-minute SLAs.
• Payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Next.js or React Native is a plus.
• Experience using AI coding assistants is a plus.
• Ability to work Pacific Time hours or async.

The Position

We're Looking To Hire a Senior Backend Engineer - Laravel & Go Microservices To Join Our Team. You'll Work With Our Incredible Clients In One Of Two Ways

• Team Augmentation: You will integrate yourself directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.
• Design & Build: You will work on a FullStack product team to build and deliver a product to our clients.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Has developed, deployed, and maintained core monolithic backends using Laravel and PHP.
• Has extracted monolithic application logic and rewritten it into Go Microservices.
• Has scaled backend infrastructure to handle high-traffic product launches and high-concurrency user loads.
• Has executed on-call engineering rotation duties with strict acknowledgment SLAs (e.g., 15 minutes).
• Familiarity with building or supporting payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention pipelines is a nice to have.
• Previous exposure to frontend or mobile stacks such as Next.js or React Native is a nice to have.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow is a nice to have.
• Availability to work standard business hours aligned with the Pacific Time (PT) zone.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
• Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon.
• Ability to identify with the goals of FullStack's clients, and dedicate yourself to delivering on the commitments you and your team make to them.
