FullStack is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join our AI-native engineering team. You will work on Laravel and Go microservices, either embedded in client teams or on a FullStack product squad, collaborating with designers and engineers to deliver scalable backends.

The role requires 5+ years in backend software engineering, advanced English, and a four-year degree. Prior work with Go microservices and Laravel is highly valued.

• Nice-to-have: payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention pipelines.
• Nice-to-have: experience with Next.js or React Native.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor.

The Position

We're Looking To Hire a Senior Backend Engineer - Laravel & Go Microservices To Join Our Team. You'll Work With Our Incredible Clients In One Of Two Ways

• Team Augmentation: You will integrate yourself directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.
• Design & Build: You will work on a FullStack product team to build and deliver a product to our clients.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Has developed, deployed, and maintained core monolithic backends using Laravel and PHP.
• Has extracted monolithic application logic and rewritten it into Go Microservices.
• Has scaled backend infrastructure to handle high-traffic product launches and high-concurrency user loads.
• Has executed on-call engineering rotation duties with strict acknowledgment SLAs (e.g., 15 minutes).
• Familiarity with building or supporting payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention pipelines is a nice to have.
• Previous exposure to frontend or mobile stacks such as Next.js or React Native is a nice to have.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow is a nice to have.
• Availability to work standard business hours aligned with the Pacific Time (PT) zone.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
