Job summary

Worldpanel by Numerator seeks an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own the reliability, performance, and capacity of our Azure VM estate. You will automate provisioning, patching, backup, and monitoring to reduce toil and ensure recoverability across Windows and Linux environments.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years in SRE/infra, strong Terraform usage, Azure Monitor/KQL expertise, and CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in SRE, systems engineering, or infra operations with Windows and Linux
• Deep Azure VM experience at scale (60→300+ VMs)
• IaC with Terraform
• KQL for monitoring/alerts
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps & GitHub
• Scripting in PowerShell and Bash
• Security tooling awareness and incident analysis

Responsibilities

• Own health and reliability of Azure VM estate, windows and Linux
• Manage patching with Azure Update Manager and maintenance windows
• Drive backup and disaster recovery with Azure Backup/Site Recovery
• Build monitoring/alerting with Azure Monitor and KQL with auto-remediation
• Automate VM lifecycle with Terraform and scripting
• Lead root cause analyses for incidents affecting VM estate
• Collaborate with security on investigations and log review
• Reduce toil with automation and clear runbooks
