Bluelight Consulting is seeking a senior software architect to design and deliver scalable, low-latency architectures in AWS. You will design auditable, secure multi-tenant systems and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with clients to drive successful outcomes.

The role requires deep expertise in PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, RLS, RESTful APIs, and a strong background in Node.js and TypeScript. Remote-friendly with international opportunities.

Formación

• 8+ years professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
• Deep experience designing low-latency service architectures in AWS, incl. distributed components.
• Experience designing to latency budgets (p95/p99) and durable commits in hot paths.
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems with append-only logs and versioned models.
• Architect secure multi-tenant environments with RLS vs schema-/database-per-tenant tradeoffs.
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and RLS at data-modeling level.
• Expertise in building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience architecting SDK integrations to other services.
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the stack.
• Capacity models and cloud cost/performance projections (AWS Well-Architected).
• Technical standards, architecture reviews, and mentoring teams.
• Architecture docs, ADRs, diagrams, and client reviews.
• Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development.
• End-to-end design of large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extreme ownership and accountability for deliverables.
• Client-focused dedication and strong problem-solving leadership.
• Positive, can-do attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
