Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an automation QA engineer to enhance mobile, web, and API testing across iOS, Android, CMS, and backend services.

You will implement and maintain automated tests with Appium, Playwright, WebdriverIO, and TypeScript, contribute to test strategy, and ensure high-quality releases in a multinational, supportive environment.

Colombia-based role with opportunities to learn and grow through diverse projects and global teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.
• Experience with Appium for mobile testing.
• Experience with Playwright for web testing.
• Experience with WebdriverIO for browser automation.
• Strong test strategy and regression testing background.
• Proficient in TypeScript for test scripts.
• Working English fluency (B2 or higher).
• Experience with REST API testing.
• Python scripting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test coverage for mobile apps across iOS and Android.
• Develop automated testing for the CMS web interface built on ReactJS, TypeScript, and AWS tech stack.
• Create automated API tests for backend using REST API, Postman, Swagger, and AWS API Gateway.
• Establish and maintain automated regression test suites for mobile and CMS platforms.
• Design automated smoke tests to verify production deployments and critical user journeys.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test coverage for mobile applications across both iOS (using Swift) and Android (using Kotlin) platforms
• Develop automated testing for the CMS web interface, built on a ReactJS, TypeScript, and AWS technology stack
• Create automated API tests for the solution's backend, which relies on Rest API, Postman, Swagger, and AWS API Gateway technologies
• Establish and maintain automated regression test suites covering both the mobile applications and the CMS platform
• Design automated smoke tests to confirm successful production deployments and verify critical user journeys across mobile apps and the CMS

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on relevant experience
• Practical experience with Appium for automating mobile application testing
• Hands-on skill with Playwright for automated web testing
• Solid background in regression testing to ensure stability across application releases
• Experience developing test strategy to guide quality assurance efforts
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building automated test scripts
• Working knowledge of WebdriverIO for browser and application automation
• Decent communication skills with working English fluency (B2 level or higher) to understand business requirements and translate them into agentic architectures

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python for scripting and test automation purposes
• Experience working with REST API for backend testing and validation
