AgileEngine is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build AI-powered applications, agents, and MCP integrations connecting intelligent systems to business tools. Working in Java and/or Python, this role turns LLM capabilities into production-grade backend services, balancing performance, reliability, and cost.

Formación

• 4+ years of software engineering, backend engineering, or applied AI engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLM capabilities.
• Experience designing or building AI agents, multi-step workflows, or tool-using automation.
• Experience with MCP or similar integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, distributed systems, and production fundamentals.
• Familiarity with prompt design, context management, evaluation approaches, and reliability patterns.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments.
• Delivery-oriented and comfortable across development, experimentation, and production support.
• Effective at collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight timelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and enhance AI-powered apps and backend services.
• Build and maintain AI agents and agentic workflows that can reason and orchestrate tasks.
• Develop MCP-based integrations and tool interfaces for secure interaction with external platforms.
• Implement prompt orchestration, context handling, tool calling, memory patterns, and evaluation workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to define scalable AI patterns.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into software systems with balance of performance, reliability, and cost.
• Investigate issues, improve observability, and optimize AI workflow in production.
• Participate in code reviews, release support, experimentation, and incident resolution.
• Create technical docs and contribute to best practices for AI engineering and MCP adoption.
