Porch Group in Colombia is seeking a Senior Accountant to help build our finance function while working remotely through RemoFirst. You will perform general accounting, asset accounting, and software capitalization, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities include monthly closings, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Prior NetSuite and FloQast experience is a plus. The role requires a B.S.

Qualificações

• B.S. in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent corporate finance experience.
• Minimum 4 years of corporate finance experience.
• Must have SOX experience.
• Capitalized Software experience is a plus.
• NetSuite and FloQast experience is a plus; strong Excel skills preferred.

You will utilize your accounting knowledge and experience to ensure best practices and standards are met on a regular basis as Porch builds its internal processes. We have a variety of accountant roles including opportunities in revenue accounting, our insurance division, and shared services (corporate).**What You Will Do As A Senior Accountant*** Work independently, performing professional accounting activities related to, general accounting, fixed assets, capitalized software, operational accounting, etc.* Controls, monitors, and reviews accounts to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with all pertinent procedures and regulations; reviews financial reports and statements; applies audit techniques and practices to ensure the integrity and accuracy of recorded financial information.* Review the work performed by staff including but not limited to invoices, vendor detail, journal entries, and account reconciliations.* Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.* Review and analyze financial data and assist with preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.* Support management with ad hoc requests.* Partner with managers and internal teams to maintain processes and controls related to assigned areas of work.* Participate in the annual, quarterly, and monthly process with both external and internal audit teams.* Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.**What You Will Bring As A Senior Accountant*** B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience in a corporate finance setting.* Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in a corporate finance setting.* Must have prior SOX experience* Prior Capitalized Software experience a plus.* Demonstrates wide-ranging experience in job function.* Acts independently; determines new methods and procedures on new assignments.* Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities - ability to analyze complex information and reach clear, concise conclusions.* Strong English communication skills - effective at soliciting information and cooperation at all levels of the organization.* Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.* Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of completeness and accuracy.* A collaborative, customer-centric approach with the ability to work with business units, accounting, and finance functions.* Strong computer skills are required, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).* Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.* Prior NetSuite and FloQast experience a plus* Experience working with global and/or US based business teams* Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload*The application window for this position is anticipated to close in 2 weeks (10 business days) from 08/27/2026.* *Please know this may change based on business and interviewing needs.***What You Will Get Supporting Porch Group**Pay Range:**COP 7,570,000.00 to COP 8,515,000.00** salary per month
