Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

You will apply TypeScript, Gherkin, and AI/ML model testing practices while collaborating with product teams and customers to ensure quality. This is a remote role with flexible hours and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• 6+ years in automated testing (UI, API, performance).
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture (authentication, platforms, and infrastructure).
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evaluations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for BDD.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions and correlate to bugs.
• Identify and escalate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories and run custom scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

Job description

We are looking for a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

The mandatory requirements are 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, TypeScript, Gherkin, AI/ML and data science model testing, and an upper-intermediate English level.

What you will do

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and escalate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

Must haves

• 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role building alongside PM, UX, and Engineering Departments.
• 6+ years of experience in automated testing including UI, API, Performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture - Authentication, platforms, and infrastructure focus.
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.

Nice to haves

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
