Caseware is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join the Central Quality Engineering Function in a fully remote role based in Colombia. You will partner with product teams to embed quality into every development phase, enhancing tooling, automation, and testing practices across our SaaS platform.

• 2+ years in Quality Engineering within modern SaaS or cloud-native environments (AWS).
• Experience scaling automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).
• Knowledge of testing strategies across the pyramid, including unit to E2E and API contract/integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).
• Strong front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with observability tools to improve test signals and pipeline feedback.
• Strong communication and coaching skills to influence engineering and product stakeholders.
• Cross-platform testing mindset to ensure quality across Caseware Cloud Ecosystem.
• Experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across regions.
• Experience integrating QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on‑prem CI/CD systems (GitHub).
• Interest in AI-powered testing tools (CoPilot, Devin, Claude) is a bonus.

• Drive quality strategy across the platform, focusing on scalable testing beyond UI validation.
• Improve CI/CD and developer workflows; enhance E2E test reliability, data setup, test isolation, and signal quality.
• Champion tooling to reduce flaky tests and noisy signals while shortening feedback loops.
• Contribute to cross-team testing initiatives and share methodologies with developers and other SDETs.
• Track and influence DORA metrics (test coverage, defect trends, regression rates) to guide automation investments.

We’re hiring a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join the quality engineering team on one of Caseware’s SaaS Platform teams—driving scalable, modern approaches to testing, automation, and developer enablement. Reporting into the Central Quality function and working within the SE Platform team, this role is uniquely positioned to drive the quality strategy across foundational platform areas that underpin our most critical innovations.

• Being part of the Central Quality Engineering Function

Represent the team of Software Developers in Test (SDETs) who partner closely with product teams to embed quality into every phase of development—through tooling, automation, infrastructure, reportingand best practices.

• Practice Quality Strategy Across the Platform

Contribute within a modern quality strategy tailored to the demands of a rapidly scaling SaaS platform. Impact through improvements within the test pyramid, shifting away from sole UI-based validation towards lower levels of testing to increase reliability.

Contribute to Improving CI/CD and Developer Workflows

Enhance the stability and speed of our E2E tests by making improvements to test data setup processes, test isolation, and execution reliability. Ensuring quality is built in from development to deployment without sacrificing team velocity and promoting actionable test failure signals to shorten feedback loops and increase developer confidence. Champion tooling and practices that reduce flaky tests and noisy signals.

• Functional Testing, from Idea to Value delivered

Work with the test team to ensure timely completion of functionality and enhancements as driven by the roadmaps for the team. Provide horizontal support across the test team where necessary to take the team to the finish line. Participate in all the testing phases to positively impact lead time to value with agentic testing capabilities and leveraging the AI Test Harnesses applied within the QE space.

• Drive Quality KPIs

Contribute towards key DORA metrics such as test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness and execution health, flakiness, and regression rates. Use these insights to continually refine the quality practices and guide investments in automation and infrastructure.

• 2+ years' experience working in Quality Engineering teams within modern SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native environments (AWS).
• Expertise in working with scaling automated testing infrastructure, including integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).
• Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, from unit to E2E, including api contract and integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).
• Solid front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript, enabling effective collaboration across full-stack teams.
• Familiarity with observability tools and best practices for improving test signal and pipeline feedback loops.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence fellow engineering and product stakeholders across the org.
• Foster a cross platform collaborative testing mindset to ensure quality flows through the Caseware Cloud Ecosystem
