Job summary

Academy District 20 is seeking a daytime Custodian at Discovery Canyon Campus High School. The role involves cleaning facilities, sanitizing spaces, and setting up for events while fostering positive relations among staff and students.

Training on Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and blood-borne pathogens will be completed within two months of hire. The incumbent will perform duties such as cleaning floors, restrooms, and common areas, assist with safety drills, and support various school operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to learn Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and blood-borne pathogens training.
• Ability to work well with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Reports consistently for work as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists in cafeteria and other areas during the workday as directed.
• Assists students and staff with items such as lockers, doors, desks, lights, etc., and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Assists with safety drills and real-life scenarios as needed and directed.
• Cleans facilities and classrooms, including restrooms, floors, and surfaces as directed.
