Job summary

ScotiaGBS Colombia del grupo Scotiabank seeks a Credit Specialist to review conditionally approved retail credit applications through Digital and Contact Centre channels. You will validate SAM messages, underwrite within limits, and document investigations to ensure policy compliance.

You will perform enhanced due diligence, respond to inquiries, and leverage knowledge of retail lending products while protecting confidentiality and data integrity.

Qualifications

• English-language skills B1+/B2 as required for communication with customers and branches.
• High School diploma or currently studying with at least 6 months relevant experience.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Sound judgment in conducting credit investigations and making retail credit recommendations.
• Basic knowledge of Bank retail lending products including credit cards and lines of credit.

Responsibilities

• Review and authorize conditionally approved applications for accuracy and consistency with credit policies.
• Conduct thorough credit investigations and provide recommendations within assigned limits.
• Validate identity forms and document all investigation activities in the case.
• Communicate effectively by telephone to complete investigations while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to credit inquiries and enforce KYC procedures, reporting fraud when identified.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer to Contact Centre or branches as appropriate.
• Resolve customer inquiries and de-escalate issues per Bank procedures.
