Job summary

Aterio is seeking a Research Analyst to join the Data Center team, focusing on the global expansion of hyperscalers and cloud infrastructure. You will support investment decisions for hedge funds and asset managers by tracking capacity growth, power availability, capex, and strategic moves of major operators.

This analytical, detail-oriented role requires building financial models in Excel/Power BI, analyzing earnings calls and filings, and producing clear notes for internal and client use.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in equity research or comparable industry research.
• Understanding of major hyperscalers, cloud providers, and their infrastructure ecosystems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to turn complex information into clear conclusions.
• Fluent written and spoken English for global research and client-facing work.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

You will bring an investment research mindset to tracking capacity growth, power availability, capital expenditure, and the strategic moves of major hyperscalers. This is a highly analytical, detail-oriented role with deep exposure to the infrastructure supporting AI and cloud computing.

What You'll Do

• Track data center capacity and infrastructure development across AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Oracle, and other major operators.
• Build and maintain financial and market models covering capex, capacity growth, and investment activity.
• Analyze earnings calls, regulatory filings, company announcements, and industry developments.
• Research power availability, utility connections, and energy constraints affecting data center projects.
• Produce clear, well-sourced research notes and market intelligence for internal and client use.

What We're Looking For
