Job summary

CrowdGen is seeking an Independent Contractor for Project Lupin to transcribe audio with verbatim accuracy and precise timestamps. You will label speakers in multi-person conversations and annotate non-speech events, maintaining high-quality transcripts.

The role offers remote, flexible hours and remuneration per audio hour. Applicants should be fluent in Thai, capable of producing verbatim transcripts with filler words and stutters, and have access to a computer and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Thai, including regional accents and informal speech.
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
• Comfortable using browser-based tools (training provided).
• Reliable internet connection.
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices not supported).
• Reliable availability for minimum 10+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts.
• Timestamp segments with less than 500ms deviation.
• Label speakers for conversations with 2 to 8 participants.
• Annotate events for non-speech elements (e.g., laughter, background noise, unintelligible audio).
