Appen Limited invites you to join Project Lupin as an Independent Contractor to help improve AI-powered speech recognition through precise Mandarin transcripts. You will work remotely on flexible hours, contributing verbatim transcripts with accurate timestamps and speaker labeling.

You'll handle audio recordings, annotate non-speech elements, and log each session for fair compensation. Minimum commitment is 10 hours per week, with earnings of about $35 per audio hour and scalable potential as

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Mandarin Chinese (Simplified).
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
• Reliable internet access and ability to use a laptop; mobile devices not supported.
• Availability for minimum 10+ hours per week.

Responsibilities
