Tether Ltd. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support M&A advisory and investment activities in the mining sector. The role blends geological insight with financial analysis to evaluate mining assets, transactions, and opportunities across the resources value chain.

Responsibilities include building financial models, conducting due diligence, and preparing investment memoranda for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong modelling skills and experience with mining finance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Earth Sciences.
• 5+ years of relevant mining, IB, corporate finance, equity research, or advisory experience.
• Exposure to M&A and project finance in mining is highly desirable.
• MBA or CFA progress is a plus.
• Knowledge of mineral resource classification codes (JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC).
• Experience with structured mining financing instruments (prepays, royalties, streams, offtake).
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Ability to translate geological data into commercial insight.
• Advanced Excel; familiarity with mining software is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Conduct due diligence on mining assets and companies, integrating geological, technical, and commercial assessments.
• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, NAV, comparable transactions and companies) for mining projects and corporate transactions.
• Analyze mineral resource and reserve statements (JORC, NI 43-101, or equivalent) and assess their commercial implications.
• Evaluate mining project economics, including capex/opex profiles, production schedules, commodity price assumptions, and risk factors.
• Prepare investment memoranda, pitch books, valuation summaries, and board-level presentations.
• Monitor commodity markets, mining sector trends, M&A activity, and the competitive landscape.
• Support deal execution, including coordination with technical consultants, legal teams, and counterparties.
• Assess geopolitical, permitting, environmental, and ESG risks affecting mining investments.
• Structure and evaluate alternative and structured financing schemes for mining operations, including metal prepays, royalties, streaming agreements, offtake and marketing arrangements, and debt/equity hybrids, and assess their impact on project economics and counterparty risk.
