Insight Global in Bogotá is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer specialized in React Native to design and develop cross‑platform features for our streaming app across Website, iOS, Android and TV devices.

You will write clean, scalable code and help advance our CI/CD practices. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in mobile/web development, strong React Native and TypeScript skills, experience with testing, CI/CD, and cross‑platform workflows.

Formación

• 6+ years in mobile and web app development.
• 2+ years cross-platform React Native development.
• Strong React Native proficiency including RN for Web.
• Proficient in TypeScript and REST API consumption.
• Experience with unit testing and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Git/JIRA and Agile methods.
• Experience with AI coding tools like Claude/Copilot preferred.
• Previous streaming/TV app experience is a plus.

Job Description

A client in the streaming/entertainment space is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer who specializes in React Native, to join their team. You will responsible for helping design and develop software using React Native for their streaming app running on multiple platforms (Website, iOS, Android, Fire TV Stick, and web-based CTVs like Samsung, Hisense, Vizio and LG). Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop connected TV, mobile and web app features using React Native
• Using Test Driven Development principles, build unit tests and automated functional tests using tools like Playwright, WebDriver API and Appium
• Write clean, maintainable, sharable and efficient cross-platform shared code with appropriate abstraction layers to accommodate the nuances of multiple platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new tools and technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications in various devices with both high and low performance hardware
• Identify and correct process bottlenecks, fix bugs and maintain CICD pipeline automation using NX Monorepo, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm and Harness
• Help maintain code quality, code organization and test automatization through regular updates to app packages and refactoring of code

Skills and Requirements

• Approximately 6+ years of developing mobile and Web applications, with at least 2+ years of cross-platform React Native development experience
• Strong proficiency in React Native, including RN for Web
• Proficient in TypeScript
• Strong experience with Zustand, RTK Query, Recoil or similar state management libraries (one of these will suffice)
• Strong experience consuming REST APIs in desktop and mobile apps
• Strong experience with Git, JIRA, and Agile development methodologies
• Strong experience with unit testing and continuous integration
• CI/CD with Github Actions and similar platforms
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience working with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field highly preferred
• Previous streaming experience
• Experience with Firebase integration
• Experience with DataDog integration
• Experience working with React for Web apps using Node/Bun backend, Next JS, Hapi
• Experience working with monorepo architectures, especially NX
• Experience building automated testing
• Experience with Reanimated or other animation libraries
• Experience building React Native apps on TV devices (Android TV, tvOS, web-based CTVs)
• Experience with game development, especially Lua scripts
• Experience on AI coding tools
• Have lead experience on React Native projects
• Have experience on other native TV platforms like TVOS or Android TV
