Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand hardware, networking, and systems support for global data centers. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, networking gear, and security measures while working independently and coordinating with remote teams.

You should be proficient with Linux and Windows, familiar with Cisco/Juniper devices, and capable of documenting tasks and maintaining uptime across diverse environments.

Qualifications

Data center hardware/software expertise required.
Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
Proven troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment for uptime.
Monitor and diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely and on-site.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper devices to ensure secure networks.
Manage Linux and Windows systems and apply updates and security patches.
Document all tasks and provide reports to remote management.
Implement security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
Collaborate with vendors and IT teams on projects to improve efficiency.
