BairesDev in Colombia is seeking a Database Administrator to ensure the health and performance of production data environments, maintain data integrity, and optimize resources. You will design and implement backup, recovery, and HA/DR strategies while supporting security and compliance.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in operating and tuning production databases like SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL languages such as T-SQL or PL/SQL for performance tuning and database optimization.
- Hands-on experience managing database backups, replication, and high availability/ disaster recovery strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain production databases.
- Perform proactive monitoring to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.
- Manage database replication and high availability configurations.
- Execute advanced SQL tuning to improve response times.
- Establish and enforce security protocols to safeguard data.
