World Business Lenders (WBL) is hiring an entry-level Cybersecurity Engineer to protect systems and data. The role monitors security activity, investigates alerts, and supports improvements under guidance from the Team Lead and Manager.

Responsibilities include monitoring logs, supporting incident response, running vulnerability scans, and assisting with IAM and secure configurations. This is a fully remote position with Eastern US hours.

Competenze

• Strong spoken and written English with ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Foundational knowledge of networking, Windows or Linux, authentication, threats, and security controls.
• Practical exposure to security tools through coursework, labs, internships, or employment; prior professional experience not required.
• Ability to review logs, follow investigation procedures, prioritize tasks, and know when to escalate.
• Education or training in a relevant field with careful handling of confidential information.

Mansioni

• Monitor security alerts and logs; investigate suspicious activity and escalate incidents.
• Support incident response using established procedures including evidence collection.
• Run vulnerability scans and verify remediation with system owners.
• Assist with endpoint protection, email security, IAM controls, and secure configurations.
• Support access reviews and least-privilege controls; report exceptions.
• Maintain incident records, audit evidence, and awareness activities.
• Collaborate with cloud, development, and Help Desk teams to implement security changes.
