micro1 is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Expert for a remote, contract-based engagement. The role focuses on translating engineering drawings into precise 3D CAD models using Python and CAD tools, with rigorous validation against geometrical and physical requirements.

Tasks are pay-per-task, with flexible scheduling and approximately 15 hours per week. The project emphasizes automated geometry generation, STEP export, and ensuring watertight, compliant models across a variety of CAD platforms.

Formación

• Strong Python programming ability.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to geometric precision.
• Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings.
• Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Decompose complex components into appropriate geometric features.
• Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry.
• Export valid, watertight solid models in formats such as STEP.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties.
• Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry.
