Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in Barranquilla for an hourly remote contract to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will train AI systems to think like developers, write and review code across languages, and provide clear feedback while working independently on your schedule.

The role emphasizes strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, a pragmatic debugging mindset, and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript) with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code clearly.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages, frameworks, and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works — or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
