Outlier is seeking a QA Coder to audit AI-generated code and provide structured feedback from a software engineering perspective. You will rate model responses and draft clear, well-structured computer science prompts to push the models toward better code generation.

This is a freelance, 1099 contract opportunity with flexible, remote work. Rates are up to $34 USD per hour, with additional incentives based on project performance and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: read code produced by AI models and flag errors and quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to improve outputs.
• Write computer science prompts to challenge AI models and push coding abilities.
