Regional Commercial Manager - Paper & Board packaging

The company mission is to develop innovative and sustainable Packaging solutions for the paper and board industry. They are one of the market leaders in North America and have ambitious plans for growth. They manufacture a consumable product supplying the large paper & board and corrugated sector.

They are looking to enhance their team with a Regional Commercial Manager for the Southern region of the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for driving commercial success within your assigned region by developing and implementing effective sales and service strategies. You will lead a team to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and enhance profitability across multiple segments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sales Planning:

  • Identify opportunities for growth within the region and propose initiatives to capitalize on them.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Create and drive tactical plans, ensuring that all team members are aware of the goals, timelines, and their individual responsibilities.
  • Identify vital actions and resources required to deliver on objectives.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilize tools such as CRM to establish and track a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Ensure the regional teams are using CRM and other tools to manage customer interactions.

Customer Relationship Development:

  • Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Establish a genuine connection by understanding the client’s needs, challenges, and goals. Listen actively to their concerns.
  • Become a trusted advisor by showcasing your knowledge and expertise in the printing field. Provide insights and solutions that address their challenges.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage the regional sales and service teams, setting clear objectives and performance goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Establish trust by being reliable, transparent, and consistent in your interactions with colleagues. Follow through on commitments and communicate openly.
  • Address conflicts or disagreements respectfully and constructively. Focus on finding solutions that benefit all parties involved and maintain positive working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent experience with adhesives, plates, inks, coatings, anilox, tapes, chemicals or related products selling into the wide web flexographic market
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ability to travel within the region as required.
