BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a QA Test Engineer in Bogotá for a hybrid full-time role. You will ensure product quality, develop and execute automated tests, and work within an agile team to quickly identify and fix issues.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers, participation in scrum events, and expanding test coverage. Candidates should be proficient in JavaScript and automated testing frameworks, with experience in Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Protractor.

Formación

• Experience writing and executing reusable test cases.
• Experience in agile/scrum environments.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing using JavaScript.
• Ability to review test cases with developers and contribute to sprint planning.

QA Test Engineer

Full time - Bogotá Hybrid - Bilingual (english/spanish)

We’re looking for a QA Test Engineer. If you’re passionate about ensuring that our customers receive a quality product, and you’re on the ball making sure the situation is fixed in the rare occurrence they don’t. Working with a team is awesome, but you’re fine going solo, too. Plus, you’re comfortable working in an agile environment. People describe you as "dedicated and motivated" when it comes to QA, and you’re all about having an impact in the quality assurance direction we take.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for documenting the edge cases and reviewing acceptance criteria
• Responsible for participating in all scrum activities
• Responsible for writing automated test scripts for new features and maintaining automated regression tests
• Will review test cases with developers before beginning testing during sprint
• Perform Manual and automated test execution

If you’re good at

• Writing and executing reusable test cases and can adapt to new technology quickly
• Comfortable in an agile/scrum environment
• Writing automated test cases and has a thorough understanding of JavaScript and Automated Testing using various tools.
• Assisting the team with grooming and sizing of user stories, evaluating the proposed sprint backlog and determining what will fit in the sprint
• Developing test cases and the steps to test new product features

You might also have

• Extensive test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver , Java, TestNG, and Maven for building scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks.
• Extensive automated test experience using Selenium, Protractor, Cypress and/or JavaScript
• Extensive experience testing applications written in Node.js, AngularJS, React, C#, PHP that use MongoDB and MS-SQL Server databases
• Experience with in-branch testing and environment testing, Regression testing. Integration testing. Functional testing, Smoke testing and API testing
