Amentum in Colombia seeks a highly experienced aviation quality control professional to oversee maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and safety standards for rotary-wing aircraft, including UH-60 platforms.

The role requires 15+ years of aviation quality control experience, 10+ years supervising personnel, FAA Inspection Authorization preferred, and deep knowledge of Colombian and U.S. aviation regulations. Fluency in English and Spanish is expected.

Formación

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with Moderate Risk Public Trust certification before contract performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an aviation-related field or an associate degree plus 8 years in aviation quality control management.
  • Minimum of 15 years aviation quality control experience in military or commercial aviation and 5 years in an intermediate or higher maintenance facility as an FAA-licensed or company-designated QC inspector for UH-60 or Sikorsky S-70.
  • Experience with aviation configuration control processes.
  • Minimum of 10 years supervising personnel in aviation maintenance.
  • Managerial experience at increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in maintenance and control of aviation technical manuals in a large aviation organization (20+ aircraft).
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience with rotary-wing aircraft, UH-60 preferred.
  • Possess FAA Inspection Authorization license preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance and logistics management of Sikorsky UH-60.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and automated maintenance management systems; Army Maintenance Management System preferred.
  • English at least FSI Level R/3, S/3; Spanish at least FSI Level R/2, S/2.
  • Strong written English skills.
  • Knowledge of Colombian Aeronautica Civil, U.S. FAA, and U.S. military maintenance regulations.
  • Knowledge of Colombian safety standards and procedures.

Descripción del empleo

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust certification conducted by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security DS/SI/PSS) prior to contract performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an aviation related field from an accredited institution or an associate degree plus at least 8 years of experience in the management of aviation quality control programs.
  • Minimum of 15 years aviation quality control experience in the military or commercial aviation field, and 5 years’ experience in an intermediate level or higher aviation maintenance facility as an FAA licensed or company-designated quality control inspector working on the UH-60 or Sikorsky S-70 aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience with the aviation configuration control process.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience supervising personnel in the aviation maintenance field.
  • Managerial experience at increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the maintenance and control of aviation technical manuals in a large aviation organization an aviation organization with at least 20 aircraft in the fleet.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with rotary wing aircraft, UH-60 aircraft preferred.
  • Possess a current FAA Inspection Authorization license is preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance and logistics management of Sikorsky UH-60 is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and an automated maintenance management system is required. Experience with the Army Maintenance Management System is preferred.
  • English language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R/3, S/3; Spanish language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R/2, S/2 is required.
  • Strong written English skills required.
  • Knowledge of Colombian Aeronautica Civil, U.S. FAA, and U.S. military maintenance regulations is required.
  • Knowledge of Colombian safety standards and procedures is required.
