Goodyear is seeking a Quality Auditor to lead auditing of manufacturing quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, certification, and corporate standards.

You will partner with plant leadership, perform routine audits, deliver training, and prepare documentation for external audits, supporting product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality system audits, process audits, control plans, and PFMEA.
  • Auditor certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to auditing and improving manufacturing quality systems, environmental, health and safety programs, hazardous material handling, and finished product quality.
  • Establish partnerships with manufacturing teams to promote quality excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with certification body, government, corporate, and OEM customer quality standards.
  • Conduct routine floor audits, quality system audits, outgoing quality audits, and special assessments to evaluate compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze quality and process performance, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support capability improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing quality systems, audit programs, procedures, and plant-wide quality processes.
  • Prepare and communicate shift, daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports while maintaining documentation and follow-up activities for nonconformances.
  • Coordinate audit readiness activities and prepare documentation for external audits, including IATF, ISO, product certification, and OEM customer audits.
  • Deliver training and coaching to strengthen employee understanding of quality systems and requirements.

The Quality Auditor is responsible for leading manufacturing quality system auditing activities to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, certification, and corporate standards. This role drives continuous improvement across quality systems, manufacturing processes, environmental, health and safety programs, and finished product quality. The position partners closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, strengthen quality performance, and support operational excellence. Success in this role contributes directly to product integrity, customer satisfaction, and business results.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Experience defining and implementing manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
  • Knowledge of quality system audits, process audits, control plans, and PFMEA development; auditor certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, value stream flow, plant operating systems, and statistical tools used to evaluate process capability and performance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, collaboration, problem-solving, and change management skills.
