Viamericas is seeking an experienced QA engineer to ensure the quality of our software products across web and Windows platforms. You will design, write and execute test cases, both manual and automated, and collaborate with product owners to optimize automation strategies.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, proactive issue discovery, and strong communication with cross-functional teams in a multinational fintech environment.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and develop manual and automated tests for web and Windows apps.
• Design test cases for front-end, APIs, and backend systems using JavaScript/SQL.
• Collaborate with Product owners to define automation strategy.
• Identify, analyze, and document issues in product function and output.
• Plan test schedules aligned with project scope and dates.
• Participate in product design reviews for requirements and risks.
• Report bugs succinctly and reproducibly; write new test cases.
• Review product requirements; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

This position is a technical role within the software development organization focused on assuring the quality of our development products, features, bugs & enhancements. This role must have a solid understanding of the firm’s business, the product development lifecycle and experience implementing enterprise-class software. In this role, you should have an eye for detail and an ability to analyze the functionality of our products. If you are a passionate engineer with a never-ending desire for success, for finding issues before they arrive at the end customer and for being able to teach other team members, we’d like to meet you!

The individual must be driven to achieve results and be proactive. They will be expected to independently anticipate and handle most issues before they become problems and not let things get in the way of achieving the company’s goals. Ultimately, the person in this role will design and write high quality tests for our products.

Duties and Responsabilities

• Implement and develop manual and automated tests for both web and windows applications.
• Design and develop test cases for front-end interfaces, underlying APIs, and backend systems across several programming languages with a focus on JavaScript, ReactJS and/or SQL to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation.
• Work with the Product owners, Delivery Director, and colleagues to define process and strategy associated with automation.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Report bugs to the development team quickly and in a way easy to reproduce.
• Write test cases for new products and features.
• Review and analyze product requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IS, IT or related field.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work independently and develop solutions to problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience working both with peers and more senior executives.
• Ability to collaborate and work with a team.
• Desired English Level:
• o CEF C2
• o TOEIC 915
• o TOEFL 82.5
• Exposure to the FinTech industry desired

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
• SQL server experience is a must.
• Experience with AWS (Codepipeline, Codebuild, Lambda, S3 among others) is desirable.
• Experience on test automation tools is desirable (Selenium, Serenity, Webdriver, Cucumber, JMeter, Postman, JUnit, TestNG).
• Desirable experience with Serverless Framework or Serverless Architectures.

Working Conditions

• General office working conditions, with a 100% remote work structure.
• This position may require weekend and evening work as we collaborate with our partners internationally on audits and in support of corporate initiatives.
