Applaudo is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to own functional, regression, and API testing for web applications. You will develop and execute automated test suites, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in QA, strong automation framework experience (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium), and excellent communication in English. This role emphasizes proactive defect management and regression verification within Agile teams.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience performing functional and regression testing of web applications.
• Experience building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites for web applications.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
• Testing REST APIs, including requests, responses, status codes, error scenarios, and integrations.
• Designing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on requirements.
• Understanding defect lifecycle management from identification to regression verification.
• Experience in Agile environments and collaboration with developers and Product teams.
• Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web applications throughout the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for critical business workflows and regression scenarios.
• Execute API testing to validate requests, responses, integrations, error handling, and system behavior.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects with clear evidence.
• Verify bug fixes and perform targeted regression testing to ensure stability.
• Participate in defect triage and support issue prioritization based on impact.
• Support beta testing cycles and validate user/stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate with developers, Product teams, and stakeholders to meet quality objectives.
• Maintain testing documentation and provide visibility into execution status, defects, risks, and blockers.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience performing functional and regression testing of web applications.
• Experience building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites for web applications.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, including requests, responses, status codes, error scenarios, and integrations.
• Experience independently designing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management, including identification, documentation, reproduction, triage, validation, and regression verification.
• Experience performing integration and system testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience working within Agile environments and collaborating directly with developers, Product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to independently execute and manage assigned QA activities while proactively communicating progress, risks, defects, and blockers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Accessibility testing knowledge and familiarity with WCAG standards.
• Experience supporting System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for critical business workflows and regression scenarios.
• Execute API testing to validate requests, responses, integrations, error handling, and overall system behavior.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects with clear evidence and actionable information.
• Verify bug fixes and execute targeted regression testing to ensure application stability.
• Participate in defect triage activities and support issue prioritization based on impact, severity, and release risk.
• Support beta testing cycles and validate feedback reported by users and stakeholders.
• Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through final validation and sign-off.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product teams, and stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Maintain testing documentation and provide visibility into execution status, defects, risks, and blockers.
• Independently manage testing deliverables within an established QA strategy.
