Empresa Confidencial in Colombia is seeking a Python Backend Engineer with React experience to design and build scalable backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python frameworks.

You will develop high-performance APIs, work on distributed services, and collaborate with frontend, data, and product teams to deliver reliable data-driven applications.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django with API focus).
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in production.
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols; relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming (async/await); Git and collaborative workflows.

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer + React experience with strong experience in building scalable, production-grade backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python frameworks.

In this role, you will design and develop high-performance APIs, work with distributed systems, and contribute to building reliable backend services that power data-driven and real-time applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Build scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices
• Implement data processing and business logic in production environments
• Collaborate with frontend, data, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Integrate with databases, third-party APIs, and internal services
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend development with Python
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django with API focus)
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in production

• Experience working with data pipelines or ML-backed systems
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (pytest, unit/integration testing)
