Félix is seeking a product designer to own the Credit surface area from concept to launch, collaborating with a lead credit designer and the Credit PM. The role centers on shaping a conversational, AI-ready experience within a chat interface that guides users through borrowing, disclosures and repayment while maintaining brand integrity.

About the role

We started with remittances. Credit is where Félix becomes something bigger: not just moving a family's money, but extending them the loans and credit they've long been shut out of. That raises what we owe our users: terms they understand, repayment they can see coming, and the confidence that we extend credit to help them get ahead, never to trap them.

This is a chance to own real surface area on that product, end to end, alongside a lead credit designer.

What makes this seat distinct is the surface. Credit is a regulated product where the stakes are real money, real trust, and real debt, and most of it lives inside a WhatsApp conversation before it ever reaches an app. You'll design the interaction and visual patterns for how Félix lends: the offer, the borrowing flow, disclosures, repayment, and the history that ties it together, all within the constraints of a chat thread, while helping define what those experiences become as Félix expands to native iOS and Android.

You’ll be a designer for Credit, working shoulder to shoulder with a lead credit designer who to help shape the vision for the system, and paired directly with the Credit PM in a highly collaborative, async-first environment with lightweight process and fast decision-making. The wider design team and Head of Product Design stay close to the work.

It’s a hands‑on role: you’ll research, present, and generate both the quantity and quality of concepts it takes to find the right answer, while welcoming feedback, balancing usability with well‑judged risk, and partnering with product and engineering to hit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Widen credit access for underserved users. Many are credit‑invisible in the U.S. The surfaces you own (the borrowing flow, disclosures, repayment, and transaction history) are how they reach a first line of credit and use it with confidence.
• Design for a conversational, AI‑native medium. Failure, latency, trust, and act‑vs‑ask are the real work of designing money inside a chat window, then defining what it becomes on native iOS and Android.
• Treat compliance as a design material. You’ll work with legal and risk requirements as part of the product experience, not as an afterthought.
• Ground decisions in evidence. Run your own evaluative testing and lightweight discovery with PMs, and bring in research for the larger questions.
• Keep Credit feeling like Félix. One conversation, every product.
• Shape the team, not just the work. How we hire, critique, and build the design system is yours to influence.

Requirements

• 4+ years designing consumer products with a high bar for craft, including strong visual design and interaction design, and growing scope across end‑to‑end UX
• Range from pixel to strategy: you can solve the screen, reframe the pattern, and defend the tradeoff to people who aren’t designers.
• Native or near‑native Spanish and advanced English. Our users speak Spanish; so do we.
• Deep Figma fluency, with at least two mobile products shipped end to end.
• Research fluency to run your own evaluative testing and discovery, as well as the judgment to know when to bring in a researcher.
• Fluency with AI as a creative partner (Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Design, Codex) used to amplify craft, not shortcut it.
• A high tolerance for constraint: legal requirements, risk rules, and failure states you don’t get to design away.
• Comfort with speed and ambiguity. We ship fast and work in the open.
• You communicate clearly, invite critique early, and share work before it’s polished to get feedback and move the team forward.
• A portfolio link (with password, if needed) is required for consideration.
• Bonus: experience in lending, credit, banking, or another regulated domain, or with conversational AI products.

These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
