EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an Architect / Principal Software Engineer to steer technical direction for production-grade agentic systems across AI pods.

You will balance architecture, standards, and mentorship with prototyping core workflows and code reviews to keep systems reliable, fast, and secure. You will design predictable multi-agent workflows, build backend AI services, and establish standards for security, context management, and observability.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building distributed backend systems.
• 6+ years of Python experience with FastAPI, AsyncIO, and modern typing.
• 3+ years of production LLM systems experience using LangChain and related agent frameworks.
• Hands-on solution architecture balancing cost, latency, and operability.

Responsabilidades

• Set architectural direction across multiple AI pods and document trade-offs.
• Design multi-agent workflows with streaming responses, low latency, robust error handling.
• Build backend AI services with 30–40% time spent on code writing and review.
• Define orchestration patterns and integration contracts with frontend teams.
• Establish shared standards for Model Context Protocol servers and context management.
• Partner with Security and Infra to enforce least-privilege execution and secret handling.
• Define observability requirements and SLAs including tracing for agent workflows.
• Mentor senior engineers through design reviews and standards adoption.
