Job Title: People Director & People Business Partner
Office Location: ES-Madrid
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced People Director & People Business Partner who, through leading a team of HR professionals, will be responsible for delivery of Westcon-Comstor's global People Strategy in the region, partnering leaders across the region. You will also develop, adapt and execute strategies aligned with the regional business plans in partnership with regional leaders, and provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to both leaders and the People Team in all aspects of HR, whilst also ensuring HR governance and compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Operate as a people business partner to the region, who is commercially minded and builder of business strategy aligned people solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to local/regional leadership on all things People
- Closely partner with HR COE's (Talent Acquisition, Reward, L&D, DEI, HR Services & Operations) to either develop, or deploy strategic solutions
- Lead the planning and execution of change programs and coach leaders to manage change within their teams
- Manage talent planning processes, such as performance management and succession planning, talent attraction, retention, and development.
- Deliver the performance and compensation lifecycle, aligning with reward philosophy, and integrate diverse reward & recognition elements to increase engagement.
- Monitor and use People metrics & insights to enable data-led decisions
Leadership (to The People Team And Into The Organisation)
- Provide leadership to the regional People Team
- Foster the Westcon Comstor culture, to create a cohesive and positive culture & workplace environment, including embodying our Company values, and coaching managers to create the best possible colleague experience
- Closely collaborate with People Team peers across the wider European region, sharing best practice and support other regions as needed
HR Governance & Compliance
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable local requirements
- Regional HR Policy ownership
- Navigate strong relationships and collaboration with the local Work Council, and with local external partners
- In close collaboration with Finance, manage effective payroll processes
Qualifications / Requirements
- Professional qualification or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven progressive experience (8+ years) in HR, in a predominantly Business Partnering capacity
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices (Iberia in particular)
- Proven functional and people leadership, interpersonal, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, as well as an experienced Operational HR professional
- Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics, turning data into insights
- Experience with compensation and benefits strategies, experience in managing compensation programs, annual pay and bonus reviews and equity planning processes.
- Data analytic capabilities to utilize diverse employee data sources and produce insight that inform strategic and workforce decisions.
- Excellent at building relationships with business leaders and partners
- Experience in an international, multicultural matrixed, and ambiguous environments
- Experience in working in a Business Partner & CoE operating model
- A can-do, collegiate approach
