Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Columbia, MO is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Caregiver to provide compassionate, one-on-one support for a child with autism spectrum needs in the family's home. This role emphasizes daily routines, safety, and a comforting presence for the child and family.

The caregiver will perform supervision, personal care, after-school and evening activities, meal assistance, light housework related to the child, and dependable support to help the family manage daily

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Experience with children on the autism spectrum preferred.

Phoenix Home Care is looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver with experience working with children and individuals on the autism spectrum to provide one-on-one support for a pediatric client in Columbia.

This role is about more than caregiving. It’s about helping a child navigate daily routines, providing consistent support, and giving the family an extra set of helping hands. The right person will bring patience, understanding, and experience to help create a safe, supportive environment where the child can feel comfortable and supported.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one care and supervision
• Assist with personal care and daily routines
• Support after-school and evening activities
• Help with meals and other daily needs
• Complete light household chores related to the child
• Provide companionship and a safe, supportive environment
• Offer dependable support to help the family manage daily routines

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6 PM–8 PM
• Every other weekend: 8 AM–1 PM

Pay Rate: $17 per hour
