Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product conformity through audits, inspections and tests. The role collaborates with multiple functions and suppliers.

You will formulate procedures, drive CAPAs, analyze data, and verify measurement systems, GD&T and ISO/QSR compliance. Travel up to 20% and a hybrid work arrangement are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field with CQE certification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Medical device experience preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Formulates procedures, specifications, and standards for Zimmer products and processes.
• Develops and implements corrective/preventative action plans.
• Collects and analyzes data for gauge and product evaluation.
• Identifies critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials needed for the completion of new products.
• Ensures that suppliers have necessary information and facilities to deliver quality products to Zimmer Biomet.

Your Background

• B.S. in engineering or an alternative Bachelor's degree program with certification as a quality engineer (e.g. CQE).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Medical device, particularly Orthopedic industry, experience preference.

Travel Expectations

• 20%
• Hybrid role.
• Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm).
