Auxis LLC seeks a Network Engineer Lead to oversee day-to-day network operations for a global footprint across the US, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with the Network Architect on design, and ensure a secure, high-performance network aligned with SLAs.

You will lead complex routing, switching, firewall issues, and change management, while driving improvements across the multi-country environment and ensuring documentation and compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Networking or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years hands-on network engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong enterprise routing and switching across multi-site WAN/LAN.
• Hands-on firewall administration (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• ItIL change and incident management experience.
• Experience with multi-country networks.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.

Job Summary

The Network Engineer Lead leads day-to-day network engineering operations for the Mosaic Infrastructure Managed Services engagement, overseeing a team responsible for routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless across roughly 60 sites in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay. This role combines hands‑on senior engineering work with team leadership, ensuring the network environment is stable, secure, and performing to SLA, while mentoring Senior and Junior Network Engineers and coordinating closely with the Network Architect on design and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day work of the network engineering team, assigning and prioritizing tickets, changes, and projects across Network Engineer Sr. and Jr. staff.
• Provide hands‑on senior‑level engineering support for complex routing, switching, and firewall issues that require escalation beyond Tier 2/3.
• Own network change management for the account, including planning, risk assessment, peer review, and execution of scheduled changes in line with ITIL change management practices.
• Partner with the Network Architect to implement network designs, standards, and lifecycle/refresh plans across the multi‑country site footprint.
• Oversee firewall administration and security policy management across the environment's firewall estate, ensuring configurations follow security best practices.
• Coordinate wireless network support and troubleshooting, working with Senior Network Engineers who carry explicit wireless expertise (Cisco and Cambium environments).
• Support voice/network integration activities, including coordination with the Voice Engineer team on CUCM decommission and related transition work.
• Monitor network capacity and performance trends, recommending headroom or upgrade actions in coordination with the Consolidated Volume & Headroom model.
• Serve as an escalation point for major network incidents, driving root cause analysis and remediation.
• Mentor and develop Network Engineer Sr. and Jr. staff, including onboarding to the client environment and ongoing technical skill-building.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and configuration standards.
• Ensure compliance with client and Auxis security policies across the managed network estate.

Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity.
• Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching (Cisco preferred) across multi‑site WAN/LAN environments.
• Hands‑on experience administering enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
• Solid understanding of ITIL change and incident management processes.
• Experience supporting multi‑country or multi‑region network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause‑analysis skills for complex, multi‑layer network issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP or equivalent professional‑level networking certification.
• Experience with wireless networking platforms (Cisco, Cambium, or similar).
