A leading software development company in Colombia is looking for a Senior/Lead Mobile Software Engineer to develop mobile applications supporting healthcare practices. This role involves owning mobile solutions and influencing the technical direction of products. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in mobile development, including strong skills in Swift and Android technologies. • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Strong expertise in Swift and iOS frameworks.
• Solid experience with Java and Kotlin for Android.
• Hands-on with iOS networking, storage, Combine, WebKit, biometrics.
• Android with Kotlin coroutines, Jetpack, Retrofit, Material, Navigation.
• Experience managing mobile dependencies with SPM, CocoaPods, Gradle.
• Deep understanding of MVVM/MVC/MVI, DI, offline caching.
• Experience building consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with Fastlane, Jenkins, GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Strong testing with XCTest, Espresso, unit tests.
• Familiar with analytics, observability, and monitoring for mobile apps.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own and evolve patient and practice mobile applications.
• Design and implement mobile features using Swift and Java/Kotlin.
• Lead technical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design to define API contracts.
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies for release readiness.
• Own mobile CI/CD pipelines including signing, beta, and App Store submissions.
• Profile and optimize memory, networking, and rendering performance.
• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs, push, deep links, and secure data handling.
• Add analytics, logging, crash reporting, and feature flags for observability.
• Mentor engineers and promote mobile best practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior/Lead Mobile Software Engineer, you will own and evolve mobile applications that support patients and medical practices, directly impacting reliability and user experience. The role spans the full mobile lifecycle, with strong influence on technical direction, quality standards, and long‑term scalability of iOS and Android solutions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑growing healthcare environment where performance, stability, and trust are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own and evolve patient and practice mobile applications, ensuring stability, performance, and delivery velocity.
• Design and implement mobile features using Swift and Java/Kotlin aligned with business and user needs.
• Lead technical design reviews covering mobile architecture, offline‑first data flows, sync strategies, and security considerations.
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to define cohesive API contracts and end‑to‑end user experiences.
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies, including unit and UI tests, to ensure release readiness and code quality.
• Own mobile CI/CD pipelines, including signing, provisioning, beta distribution, and app store submissions.
• Profile and optimize app performance across memory usage, network efficiency, and rendering.
• Integrate mobile apps with REST and GraphQL APIs, push notifications, deep links, and secure data handling mechanisms.
• Implement analytics, logging, crash reporting, and feature flags to improve observability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers, promoting mobile best practices and consistency.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience with multiple shipped iOS and Android applications.
• Strong expertise in iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Solid Android development experience using Java and Kotlin.
• Hands‑on experience with iOS frameworks including networking, local storage, Combine, WebKit, and biometrics.
• Hands‑on experience with Android technologies such as Kotlin coroutines, Jetpack components, Retrofit, Material components, and Navigation.
• Experience managing mobile dependencies and shared libraries using tools like SPM, CocoaPods, and Gradle.
• Deep understanding of mobile architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVI, including dependency injection and offline caching.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong background in automated testing using XCTest, Espresso, and unit testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with analytics, observability, and monitoring tools for mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of responsive web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Comfortable leveraging AI assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and boilerplate generation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs.
• Upper‑intermediate English level.
