Job summary

Freeport McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee at Climax, CO to learn and support safe production while gaining hands-on experience with concentrator equipment.

You will perform inspections, assist maintenance, and participate in area housekeeping, with a housing allowance and comprehensive benefits. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

What You Bring To Freeport

• Three (3) months work experience
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Knowledge of milling, crushing and conveying equipment. Including operating parameters, limits and functionality of equipment

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $22.00 - $29.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
