Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses at our Colorado site. You will collect samples, prepare them for analysis, and assist with reporting while maintaining laboratory instrumentation.

The role requires basic math/chemistry skills, effective communication, and strong safety awareness. On-site work includes housing allowance eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You Will Do

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site.

• May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations

• Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.

• Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.

• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment

• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

• Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently **$21.00 - $29.00/hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
