Global Technology Services in Medellín, Colombia, is seeking a Mid-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive a high-ownership QA culture. You will focus on API testing, design and maintain REST API automation, and collaborate with distributed product and development teams to ensure top-quality releases.

The role requires hands-on experience with API and UI test automation, strong Java skills, and a proven ability to design scalable automation frameworks across API and UI

What you will be doing:

Drive a high-ownership QA culture and ensure exceptional product quality.

Focus primarily on API-level testing, serving as the main technical focus of the role.

Design, implement, and maintain REST API test automation using an object-oriented programming language.

Independently analyze API contracts, application code, business rules, and system behavior to build comprehensive automated coverage.

Contribute to designing, implementing, and enhancing automation frameworks for both API and UI testing to improve testing efficacy and overall product stability.

Actively participate in requirements analysis and unblock processes efficiently.

Collaborate closely with distributed product and development teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining REST API test automation.

Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

Experience with UI test automation.

Proven ability to design, implement, and enhance automation frameworks for both API and UI testing.
