Job summary

Global Technology Services in Medellín, Colombia seeks a Mid-Level Reporting Analyst with advanced SQL and Power BI skills to translate business questions into actionable dashboards.

You will own recurring and ad hoc reports, collaborate with stakeholders, and help improve analytics through Python workflows and AI tools as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, aggregations, CTEs, and data preparation across multiple tables and sources.
• Ability to independently write and troubleshoot SQL queries, investigate data discrepancies, and validate reporting results.
• Strong hands-on Power BI experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards and data models.
• Working proficiency in DAX and Power Query to implement calculations, transform data, and support reporting requirements.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and interpreting KPIs and business performance metrics.
• Ability to translate business questions into reporting requirements and deliver useful analytical solutions.
• Experience validating data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
• Ability to present findings clearly to managers, executives, and other nontechnical stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

What you will be doing:

This position requires ownership throughout the reporting process, from gathering requirements to presenting findings and addressing stakeholder feedback. As the team expands its automation capabilities, you may also contribute to Python workflows and use AI tools to improve efficiency, with opportunities to develop these skills on the job.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, aggregations, common table expressions, and data preparation across multiple tables and sources.

• Ability to independently write and troubleshoot SQL queries, investigate data discrepancies, and validate reporting results.

• Strong hands-on Power BI experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards and data models.
