Auxis is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Payment Posting Specialist with a strong background in medical billing, payment posting, and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance claims and reimbursement processes, with exposure to Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault billing highly preferred.

Experience handling New York Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault claims is a strong advantage.

Formación

• Proven experience in medical billing and payment posting.
• Strong understanding of insurance billing, payments, adjustments, and AR processes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve billing or payment issues independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation and/or No-Fault billing.
• Experience with New York Workers’ Compensation (NY WC) and No-Fault (NY NF) is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following established processes and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Process and post insurance and patient payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage medical billing activities, including claim submission, payment reconciliation, and account follow-up.
• Review payment activity, EOBs/ERAs, and remittance information to ensure accurate account posting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between billed amounts, payments, adjustments, and outstanding balances.
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient and insurance account records.
• Support accounts receivable activities and assist with outstanding balance resolution.
• Work with Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault claims and insurance requirements.
• Ensure billing and payment posting activities comply with established procedures and payer requirements.
• Communicate with internal teams, insurance carriers, and other relevant parties to resolve billing and payment issues.

Preferred Background
