A fast-growing startup is seeking an Executive for Window Treatment Manufacturing. This remote or China-based role requires deep product knowledge and hands-on experience in manufacturing or sourcing window treatments. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance to the procurement team and ensure quality standards. The position has potential equity compensation and opportunities to transition into a full-time role.

GoGateway is a fast-growing startup rethinking how custom window treatments are designed, sourced, and delivered. Founded by a serial entrepreneur, we’re building a modern supply chain to bring high-quality, motorized window treatments to market faster and smarter.

The Role

We’re recruiting our go-to product expert. Must who knows window treatments inside and out — from the components to the factory floor. Your job is to help our procurement team make the right sourcing decisions, avoid mistakes, and ensure we’re working with the best possible suppliers.

Key Products: Drapery, Roman Shades, Roller Shades, Cellular Shades, Shangri-la shades. Also drapery hardware, valances, and motorization.

Knowledge of specific component and construction choices is required. You’ll provide detailed, practical guidance — not just at a category level, but down to the mechanics of how these products are built and should look in a customer's home

If you’re already in China, or able to travel there, that’s ideal. We’re also open to remote consulting for the right candidate with the right experience. Over time, this role has the potential to grow into a full-time position.

What You’ll Do

• Be the subject matter expert for window treatment products.
• Guide the procurement team on product specs, materials, and supplier selection.
• Provide technical insight across all products.
• Provide detailed product requirements by size (tube sizing, clutch strength etc).
• Advise on components, construction methods, and product-specific choices that impact quality, cost, and durability.
• Support quality control and help identify cost and efficiency improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven, hands-on experience manufacturing or sourcing window treatments in Asia.
• Background with a leading company in the category (Hunter Douglas, Norman, Springs, or similar).
• Deep product knowledge — you know how these products are made, not just how they’re sold.
• Comfortable working with procurement teams and suppliers directly.
• Based in China, willing to travel there, or open to remote consulting with strong credentials.
